Here is a short bio.
I am a Dutch music producer, composer, musician and radio-presenter.
Born and raised in Kortenhoef, Holland. Pretty normal childhood.
I studied at the Hilversum Conservatory (MPA) and graduated with main instruments recorder (hence my deep love for Baroque music) and saxophone, and also thorough training in electronic music at CEM.
Since 1991 I have been working for public radio and television, NOS (then NPS, now NTR) working in a lot of different capacities with a main focus on music, radiofonics, soundscapes and documentaries.
Outside NTR I work for Zivasound.
With my musical associate Menno Kalmann I have produced numerous cd’s and we still provide musical concepts for various partners.
I have a great love for all kinds of music.
For NTR I developed and produced projects with Todd Rundgren, Frank Zappa, Brian Eno, Steve Vai (2 Grammy nominations), George Duke, Mike Keneally, Gary Lucas, Michiel Borstlap, Mike Boddé, Gregory Porter, Terry Bozzio and many others . My production “Kinky Op 4” won the Prix Italia. (audio available soon, it is about a classical radio station going commercial).
Recently I started a cooperation with the North Netherlands Orchestra.
As of October 1st 2016, I am also coordinator for Music Management and Entrepreneurship for the Jazz Dept. of the famous Conservatory of Amsterdam.
I live in a beautiful little town with my beautiful wife and my beautiful children.
I am a Fishetarian and foremost, an Orbeccian. (thanks to Herb Cohen)
I have two hobbies: I like to cook and I study a little Hebrew.
